1998 and 1996 tilt and telescopic motor compatibility

Does anyone know if 1998 and 1996 share the same tilt and telescopic motors? I know that 1999-2000 are the same. But, not sure what years are compatible prior to that.

As long as models UCF20/21 manufactured between Oct. 1994 and Aug. 1998 use the same motor. A 98 model manufactured after that uses ultrasonic motors.
