Hey everyone. I’m a new owner of a ‘97 LS400 with 226k miles, everything seems to work just alright except for the transmission. Guy I bought it from said maybe just a torque converter/solenoid and I think the same, as the car has to idle for at least 15 MINUTES before it goes into drive (this is not good since i bought this car to be a reliable daily and heard they were bulletproof). Reverse seems to work at this point but is sluggish unless aforementioned idle is done. I’ve read a few posts on here and as a result I’ve checked my tranny fluid, which seems to be fine. School starts soon and it’s not really an option for me to have my car sit for at least 15 minutes before it’s drivable (especially with gas prices). If I could have someone that actually knows what they’re doing reply to this/help that would be fantastic. Thanks!!

My idle sometimes dips to 500, then will randomly jump to 800. Sometimes also a rough shift into second, so i was thinking ecu on top of the solenoids but anything helps. Thanks!!
