Guys, where is a good place to buy an emblem replacement kit. I have gold know and thinking about changing it over to silver/chrome.

Also check IronToad.com - I got a complete set for my SC including the antenna nut for about $80.00.

I may be way off base but...

I believe if you can put the emblems in a gold removing solution, there is chrome/silver behind it.

There might be silver finish behind it, but I doubt it will be shinny. Just spray it with a quality chrome spraypaint. Use a hair dryer to take off the emblems at the rear. Sand the emblems first and apply a plastic primer, let it dry for 30mins. Apply 2-3 coats of chrome with 10mins dry time between coats, let it dry for 24 hrs. Use a hair dryer and bake the emblems for 1min. It will give the emblems that chrome shine. Let it cool for a while then apply 2 coats of clear. Reattach it with emblem glue.

I have some my old chrome emblems that I replaced because they had some corrosion (black tarnish) on them. Maybe I can clean them and repaint? What kind of cleaner will get the corronsion off and what kind of paint to I use to repaint?
