modulator... then why would the light go off for a while after cleaning it?... and if it IS the modulator, why cant i like take it apart and clean it.. i really dont wanna have to pay big bucks for a new part.

that is what mine did... the light would go on and off.. so i figured it was a malfunctioning part. So i changed it with a new one, and it worked.

you dont have to change it you know.. it is a gas mileage / smog thing.

i mean the part is about 80 bucks, if you look on parts.com
