Only you will be able to determine the value/increase in handling is worth it and to determine that, you'll have to put the front on to experience it.
The constant squeek I got with mine was not worth the slight improved handling. I wanted it quiet and that meant stock bushings. YMMV

Hi, new to the forum. Got a 1998 LS400 all stock and the body roll has always bugged me a bit. I've gone through the threads but am still a bit unsure - will these bushings fit the 98? What are the part numbers - can't seem to find it as referenced...seems I'm bringing up a dead thread.
Also, was looking at the "Ucf20/21 1995 - 2000 Ls400 Faq" thread. Since the Tom's strut and braces are now discontinued, are there any other good alternatives? Thanks.

just to let you guys know, an easy and long term way to stop poly swaybar bushings from squeeking is to wrap teflon tape around the bar where the bushing makes contact. did this to the addco sway bars on my supras and wrapped it so they were ~1in past the bushing on each side. i have NEVER heard a squeek from the swaybar bushings on my 84 supra in the 5-6 years they have been on there and i have never greased them. EVER!

95-97 sways are pinky finger sized compared to the much larger 98-00 sways . It would be a much better upgrade .
For 98-00 owners make sure all your bushings are good and replace with factory as i have not seen anything else than those to reduce roll.

NO clue if it is the same but since most of the suspension is almost the same just beefed up I would assume it should fit with a new bushing and metal brackets may even need new endlinks also.
BTW when using teflon tape look for the professional pink stuff it is much stronger and better than the white .

Can anyone with a first gen (93-94) confirm the diameters of the front and rear bars?
Seems that no one followed up regarding success or failure with the sizes you purchased...

96 Front and Rear Swaybar Sizes
For future reference.
Measured my 96 with a digital caliper, little hard to do in the rain but I believe this to be accurate
Front 27mm
Rear 14mm
This would fit into what this thread is suggesting for using standard measurement bushings of 1 1/16" and 9/16" based on http://www.highlandlighting.com/conversion.htm
EDIT: I believe the orginal 27.5 was due to a buildup of gunk on my front bar. after taking measurements again I beleive it to be 27mm. The rear still measures out at 14mm.
