Fender Flares

Fender Flares
Recently I installed new tires and rims on my LS400. I have 235/40/18 on the rear and 225/40/18 on the front. The tires stick out past the body and looks rather ghetto. Needless to say, I am not pleased with the new look. To correct the problem and protect my investment, I would need fender flares. I have searched all over the web, but have come up with nothing. If anyone out there in the land of Lexus has any helpful info on where to find some fender flares, I would be extremely grateful.
By the way, I am on the sunny island of Okinawa, Japan.
Thanks.
Jeff

True, I am in Japan, but I'm on the tiny island of Okinawa and some parts are hard to find - all are outrageously priced. For example, a body kit for my car will cost me $3000 and up over here, but I can buy it online for under $1000. You feel me?

Welcome to the forums...
If you've got 235/40/18 on the rear and 225/40/18 on the front and the wheels are sticking out, you've definitely got the wrong offset on your wheels (unless it was originally your intent to get flares). Companies who make flares for the 1st gen LS/Celsior are:
Insurance :
Godfather
Valenza (047-704-5588),
Cross Road (03-3793-2952),
If you want something a little more subtle, Junction Produce offers a complete fender replacement:
Junction Produce
In my opinion, I would sell the wheels that you have now, and get another set with the proper offset...this will save you some money on buying flares + paint and installation. It seems to me that you're probably running pretty thin width wheels to begin with (unless you're going to the VIP route and stretching a thinner tire onto a wider wheel?), so to me it wouldn't look right to have flares without having a staggered (at least 9 to 10 width front and 11 to 13 rear) setup.

Re: Fender Flares
Allow me to say that I am somewhat new to forums, however, as someone who is new to the world of Lexus (and very pleased with my decision), I thought that subscribing to such a forum for the exchanging of information and ideas could prove useful. Well, I was right!
Many of you have not hesitated to jump right in and lend a proverbial hand when I reached a dead end. Your suggestions have helped me a lot and led me to resources that will serve me well down the road. I'd like you all to know that my fender flare dilema has been resolved. I happened upon a young genlteman (American) right here on the sunny island of Okinawa, Japan, who has fender flares, body kits, and just about anything else I will need to personalize my LS 400 (Celsior here in Japan) for reasonable prices. Once I have the necessary work done, I will be more than happy to share pictures of the results with all of you. It may take some time, so be patient... something tells me it will be worth the wait.
I just bought my wife a GS 300 (Aristo here in Japan) and plan to "personalize" that car down the road as well. We have caught the Lexus fever and I'm afraid there's no cure! We have to sell her old car so we can use the $$ to finance the upcoming projects.
We plan to bring both of these cars back to the U. S. when we return; the novelty of the right-hand steering, along with our custom work, is bound to turn heads
