That's exactly what I was going to say.

It had not occured to me that there may be an obvious difference form the originals to the aftermarket ones. I have been considering the corner swap myself. Definitely have to see them first hand. Mike's look pretty good...

Same here ! But after checking what I can do I discovered if you want to get the same style and quality lights you'll have to buy those in Japan and it will cost you too much. Some lights come close to $1000 US a set.

Best way to get setup you want is to buy full clear lights and paint it with spray Get your own style.

Smoking is nice on some cars, but what I wanted you to do was to slightly darken the white strip to look like the 5-series or the M-series.

I have the 2/3 red and 1/3 white rear lights and I tried putting on the coners and it looks nice, but it's not the look I was looking for, but it looks nice and the quality of the aftermarket lights is pretty good IMHO.

IMHO best option is to replace factory ones with diamond red/clear aftermarket lights. Must be looking very good. I'll post picture of my setup later. Haven't got lights yet.

I did not want to go with the white strip either so i just tinted out the amber part. I never really got a good picture of the rear but this is the best I could find. I like the look of the car a whole lot better now. I might continue the black strip so it would be a long black line as opposed to the long white line. what do you guys think?

Looks much better but long black line will not look good. Long white strip looks way better on white cars and because JDM lights have extra hole for turn signal in inner piece you can turn entire strip into turn indicator - should look very good.
I had Toyota Crown before and believe me - wide rear turn signals look very good at night.

Vik- Yea I see what you are saying cause on the 300zx, there is a long turn signal and it does look pretty good at night, or atleast in the garage when im just messing around. I intially wanted to go JDM but I didnt want to spend toomuch money without the car becomng any faster. I'm saving up for a torque converter All n' all, the tint cost me about 20 bucks and I also tinted the front corners so there is no more amber anywhere on the car. It changes the whole appearance of the car for the better. it was a 20 bucks well spent.

caliness - Thanks I was running around with that set up for over a year now and i was pretty proud of myself when I came up with the idea
