Click!click No Start
This is on my 90ls.
I changed the alternator 2 yrs ago and during this problem(today) i went to auto zone to to have them check out the alternator and battery. Both checked out good.I also replac4ed the positive terminal.
Sometimes when I unloosen the positive terminal on the battery and twist it, it cranks and sometimes not.I just hear the click!click! and no start.Would someone know the symptoms of a bad starter?Would someone have the procedure from the service manual in replacing the starter?I know it could be a headache but I hope it is a DIY job.

Autozone are not always right. One time my friend took his battery in for then to check because his car was clicking also and would not start. After they checked his battery, they said it was fine. He bought a new battery anyways and install the battery when we got home and guess what, the car started up just fine. No problems ever since.
My sc400 was also making the clicking noise a few months ago and after a few attempts, my car finally fired up. I took it to sears to have them do a diagnose and they said it was the battery. I thought it was the starter. They tested out my starter and altenator and said it was fine. I bought the gold diehard battery and my cars been fine since (knock on wood).
If you can get it to start, take it to sears to have them check it. They charged like $10 for the check up and they have great customer service.

I may have fixed it
You may be right joshthorsc!
I was confused when I left that damn place.Everytime I jumped it with my booster (with good connection) it cranked right up.I then started getting no ignition power.I then went to Advanced auto parts and I was happy because their diag. machine had many features than AutoZone. The diag for the battery(without cranking) said "charge battery and retest".He then said the battery did not necessarily mean it was bad but it needed charging and a retest.I then went ahead and bought a new battery and it seems fine.I hope my alternator wasn't draining the battery power because that alternator was changed 3 yrs ago.I would hope this battery will not drained within a week incase the alternator is bad.
WORD OF ADVICEO NOT GO TO AUTOZONE FOR BATTERY CHECK!

hopefully you fixed your problem..
when i had the same problem i replaced my batt and then iut was fine...then the clicking started againand it turned out in the end I had to change my starter. Its very labor intensive as the intake mannifold has to be removed. hopefully the batt is the extent of your probs..
