2 months ago I replaced both coils, plug wires, caps, rotors, plugs, and filters......all factory parts from Sewell Lexus (shameless support plug right there!!). The engine idle itself is smooth but it just shakes the car. I don't live close to my father (35 miles away) so I'll have to wait until next weekend to check out the mounts and/or driveshaft-support bearing.

thx again for all input!

Engine mounts and tranny mounts are typical.

Rev the engine in neutral\park. If the car vibrates, *at all*, the engine mounts are shot. I could feel a vibration start at 1500rpm and get serious at 2000rpm. Way less noticeable when driving. Mounts weren't visually degraded upon inspection while installed, would pass a typical mechanic inspection. But the difference after replacement was night\day.

Transmission mounts are more subtle. Best I can describe is "slop" in the drivetrain. I noticed it most when accelerating from a full stop, the engine power would take a split second and then hit all at once with a small jerk instead of being a silky smooth delivery.

After replacing, the car had the effortless "glide" back which had been lost.
