OK this was a total tease. I was all excited to put them on my car. Last night I'm looking and telling myself "Ok its worth the money, it will look great, now let hope there in the $500 or less range and I'll do it"... $1,200 no way Stock is just fine for me....

The good thing is we do have options, and thats awsome...

Yep... JP is way too overpriced. There are cheaper alternatives with same quality.
I got mine for about $380. Expensive but still affordable.

Vik, let me get this straight, you got the same tailights for $380. I'd like to see pics for your tailights to see the quality and if it's the same as JP then I'll buy now.
Now can you guys see why I just did my tailights all red? I can do alot with $1200

In comment to the JP products.

While they may be pricey for some, I don't think I've heard that they were not top notch or worth it once in hand. Certainly for those of us outside and on a budget, we'll do the best we can to get close. Nothing wrong with that and there is a level of product for each of us. Some of us will be happy wearing a Seiko, some a Rolex and some will have a time piece one-off made. All will perform this function near equally but the status if that is what the buyer is after...will be found in a top level item such as what John is offering.

I dunno how it is overthere...what other aftermarket car acessory companies would be considered top tier, best of class?

No. Not exactly the same. A little bit different but diamond red/clear taillights. Clear stripe in my lights is completely clear, without segments (which I like more)
I don't have taillights on my hands otherwise I woud have posted pics already. What I have is picture from VIPstyle magazine and link to website which I posted earlier. I am expecting lights to come quite soon and I will post pictures ASAP.
Comparing pictures I've got with JP pictures I think that build quality for both models is about the same. Taillights I ordered (not I personally - Robert ordered these for me) made by order as well. That's why I'm waiting so long.

If you check link I posted earlier in this topic you will see that there are taillights for every model possible. Diamond red/clear tailights available for 95-97, 98-00, 00-03 LS models as well as plain red/clear types.

one of the guys here told me that the mod for my car as purchased overseas is around 600 bucks. I may consider that some other time now that winter is coming and I am about to spend 11 grand on a roof and am now out of commission as far as buying for my ls is concerned. too bad I am not rich like some.

Item is still in Japan and almost ready to be shipped. I will get it in 2-3 weeks. Not sure about pictures before that. I will consider having pictires of my taillights before I got those myself as a bonus

Yahoo !! Tails pics here. Thank you Robert !!!

Price turned to be around $500 because of yen exchange rate + sales tax + money transfer costs. Plus you should add shipping. Will cost you $530-540 to get those. You can ask Robert if you want more details. I still think it's much cheaper than JP.
