Yea I live in Charlotte too, around SouthWest side around HWY 51 near Carolina Place.
I'll e-mail you when I get home for informations and I also want to know where you got your car maintained.

Thanks, I still have 2nd thoughts of keeping my lexus. But I'm still purchasing a new vehicle.
Maybe keep 2 cars or maybe sell after I get this fixed. well thing is it's really boring riding in lexus with no audio...my Nakamichi amp blew out when I accidentally did something while I install aftermarket amp...

The car finally completly "break down" "stall" or whatever, or wont start back up ever again for now...sO finally now I can figure out what's wrong with this car. Gonna take it to garage and I'll let you guys know what I come up with.

IT's just hard to ever find a problem when your car stalls once or twice and then wont do it again and drives normal after.

Might Likely be the Plugs, and CrankShaft sensors.

The Battery and Alternator is fine.
The ECU is fine.
ICV has been replaced.
Starter has been replaced.

hmm, the headlight blinks when I press on brakes...

Smell fuel when cranking it up, just wont fire up the fuel.

Talking Fixed!

Hey guys, sorry for the hold up.
Guess what? I'm keeping my Lexus for longer now!

I finally repaired the problem.
I cleaned out the crankshaft sensor and the car cranked right back up like it suppose to and it drives like a brand new once again! No more stalling! And all the problems of this thread has been fixed!

while I was looking around my engine, I found that my timing belt is gonna need changing by...like this summer. But that's it, Plugs and everything is fine.

My Lexus LS4 is running strong once again at 216k miles!

Default Just curious....

That's a good tip. I searched, but I didn't find any instructions on how to locate and clean the crankshaft sensor. Care to explain how you did it?

And how do you know the belt needs changing?

i have no time to take picture of crank sensor myself, but I found one, might help.

there was alot of grease around the sensors, i cleaned those off.

and I found some lil' bit of cracks in my timing belt, but it's not like it's gonna break the next day or a week or watever. I know it'll last me for about 6 months - 12 months. But I will have it changed before those times.

changing timing belt isn't easy, but cleaning sensors is maybe 5 or 10 min or less...

Default Cam? or Crank?

Well, not the give you a hard time, but wouldn't those be camshaft sensors?

They seem too high up in the engine to be crankshaft sensors.

no. those are Crank Position sensor Wire, not camshaft wire.

Yes CrankShaft is on bottom-center.

In case you need the sensor part numbers, Damon just posted them in a related thread in the Maintenance section:

BRAND NEW sensor installed now.
The car driving smoothly, starts up smoothly, no killing the brakes anymore...RPM is back to normal, doesn't jump to 2k RPM anymore. 1100 RPM cold, 700-650 fully warmed.

Hope it stays like this for now. I'll let you guys know if I gurantee problem fixed. maybe a week or two of driving.

Exclamation

Day 3...when I Start Off The Car. Rpm Is At 1250 And Slowly Revs Up To 1500 Rpm. And 3 Mins Later. 1900 Then Zoop It Drops Down Like Drop Zone To 500 Rpm, Then Zoop Up To 700 Rpm Then Slowly Going Back Up To 1100-1200 Rpm.
What It Seems Like The Car Is Giving It A Gas Slowly Then Letting It Go Then Pushing Some More Again Then Letting It Go.

While Driving, I Felt Lil Bit Of "neutral Drive" For Just A Second. like while car is rolling, i press on gas, for example you got a straw with a spit ball inside and you blow it to blow it out and hit someone lolz. I think that's exactly what my car was doing, but not very often.

Sometimes When I Start Off Car My Gf Told Me She Hears A Water Boiling Noise In Front Of Her At The Passenger Side. But It Goes Away After Few Mins.

But It Hasn't Cut Off On Me Yet. After Driving For A Bit, It's At 650 Rpm. Cut Off Let It Cool For 45 Mins. Its Back To 1100-1300 Rpm Again.

JUST HOPE THE CAR DOESN'T SHUT OFF ON ME BYITSELF LIKE BEFORE. OR HAVE TROUBLE STARTING OFF THE CAR WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY AS I EXPLAINED BEFORE.
NONE OF THAT HAS HAPPEND YET. IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN....OH I DONNO...I'M JUST GONNA BANG MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND...

PLEASE THERE'S GOTTA BE OTHER LS400 DRIVERS THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM IN RECORD AND SOLVED IT OR MAYBE THEY HAVEN'T YET JOINED THE CL.

Could be your throttle position sensor. I replaced mine on my 92 LS. Do a search and you'll find lots of info...

Good Luck. TPS ran me about $80 from Irontoad.com.
