My LS has the antenna mounted on the rear quarter panel ( all LS's did up to yr 97) and I don't have a secondary one in the rear glass, never heard of that before.

They must have stopped it in the redesign of the 2nd generation.

The CD Manual that I have has stuff listed and illustrated for Canadian and US versions.

Most of the time they specify.

Might be there for real, because older cars used to have either
a. an external antenna
or
b. a glass mounted antenna.

Maybe this one does use both...?

Ask the dealer or glass shop if you really want to know...

Here is a link to expanation on the amp. 93' LS's changed to a 5 channel amp it's under the CD changer. I have a CD for lexus's and the change is not noted for the 93 LS. You have to look it up for the 94 LS.

AGAIN....it's not under the cd changer!! 90-92 has one under. but not mine 93'.
I see something that looks like a big heat sinker on top of cd changer with 3 connectors to it.
I already tored up a trunk looking for it, i even removed cd-changer. removed all the carpets, the spare tire. I had looked at a 92' it has only 2 connectors at cd-changer. 93 has 3...strange.

Maybe your 93' was never updated to 5 channel amp. Your amp is most likely connected to the HU. As far as the antenna in the rear window, that is for the keyless unlock it is wired in with the defoster.
