Car takes alittle longer to start when Cold?? Is this Normal?
I have a 91 LS400 with 93k. Lately since the weather dropped I have noticed that it takes a bit longer to start my car. I am wondering is my starter starting to go bad or is this normal?? When I use my remote start in the morning it takes 2 trys to get it to start up since it got cold.
Is this normal?

i will go on a limb and say yes. I recall when my starter was about to die, it did exactly that. The other thing mine did was when it starts it is all good and dandy, but once i cut it off, it sometimes will NOT start for another 6+ hrs or sometimes it takes longer to start.

Cars do usually take a little longer to start in the cold.. the engine is a little more sluggish. Another issue could be your battery. I just had my battery replaced and it made a huge difference. Before, I would turn the key and it would take about a second to start the engine.. with the new battery, it starts almost instantly. One way to tell if its your battery is this:
If your auto tilt (on the steering wheel) is on, stick the key in and turn the engine on right away. If the tilt keeps working... your battery is fine. If it stops while the engine is starting, you should look into getting the battery tested.
