Default Rear windowa on 93 LS 400 not working

Does any one know why my rear windows do not work on my 93 LS 400 ?
The fuses are all good so I do not know what do look for next.
Thanks SOnbum ! and Sharp lS-96 for your previous help!

Did you happen to also try the window switches on the those rear doors? It may sound like a dumb question but sometimes people just don't think about it. Make sure all the switches are plugged in and juice is flowing to them with a meter tester.

You may also have bad window regulators or motors.Odd that those would fail because they seldom do and both at the same time.
You're going to most likely have to remove the door panels and see if juice is flowing to those as well.

Good luck!

Make sure your lock window button on the master switch (drivers door) is not pressed in. This button disables the passenger window switches on the master control panel (drivers door) as well as the switches on the passenger doors.

Well if that button is pressed in then his front passenger window wouldn't work either which he made no mention of.

Hi Sharp-LS96,

You are correct, just thought it might be a possibility. Hope its something simple.

If the door buttons work but the driver's buttons don't, then the driver's control has probably burned the contact points. I had the same problem on both a '91 LS400 and a '91 Toyota MR2. To correct, remove the control unit with a flat instrument by prying from the rear side, left side, and disconnect from the door wiring. Carefully open up the contact area with a screw driver and then use sandpaper, emory board or the like to file the points. If they are burned, you will see black in the area. Blow out the debris with your blower(mouth) and reassemble and reinstall and it should work for another two years or so. Hope this helps and good luck!
