Going to Auction tomorrow
Ok guys i need some help. I am heading to Mayhem Pennsylvania auction tomorrow. I will be looking for a '99-00 LS400 or an '01 LS430. What are some things that i need to be looking for when i start checking these cars out on the lot?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I can’t stress enough, check the VIN number stickers, they should be on EVERY panel in the car. Check radio AC display as well as dash and computer malfunction warnings. Try to stay clear of LS's with 88-92K unless you see the timing belt sticker on the hood. Sometimes a 100K Lexus with the timing belt selling for 14,800 is better then one with 85K for 14,900 because of the 1500-2000 for the service, so keep that in mind. (I’m not even sure you would even go as high as 90K, but added the info just in case.)
Keep in mind, a clean 2000LS with 50K will run you close to 19-21K. An LS 430 will drive it up to 27K+. You’re the man of the hour, so it’s your decision.
for some reason, i have a feeling i forgot some things......... OH YEAH... Test out the HID lights, and check for leveling motor malfunctions. ( The computer will let you know via dash, its rare, but expensive to fix.)

Thank you very much for that info... i didn't know about the timing belt thing. Are you saying they will be a sticker somewhere in the engine compartment if lexus changed it ?

Yes, sir. It will indicate date and mileage it was replaced. Right above the Intake (behind the grill).
