re: "I am also hearing that I can shave away part of my brake caliper to help the clearance, and possibly even some of the rim. I'm getting a vibration whenever I go over 60, so I am really trying to find a way to get this spacer off completely (even though I know that it's a longshot."
Couldn't the vibration be because the wheels are not hubcentric? I'm not sure if the spacers would cause vibration. I have spacers on other car w/o any noticeable vibration. Just a thought. The Sterns look nice on your LS though. How much do they way?

5mm spacers will cause wheels to become lug centric as I do not know of any 5mm spacers that include a lip for the wheel to mount on. Being lug centric, you'd have to be careful in mounting the wheel to avoid vibration. Even so, I am not sure if you can avoid vibrations completely.

Hi, this is how I fix the "tire rubbibg fender problem"......... flare it...... you might consider this since too much negative camber will ruing those expensive 20"tires in no time.

Look like you have no choice or you have to replace your rim with one that have more+offset.

But I recommend to flare it and lower it some more......

Its no wonder your getting a vibration above 60. If you look at your pic of the spacer, you can tell the spacer isn't even centered over the hub. Follow the lines of the spacer and the back edge of the wheel mounting surface with your eyes.

Those wheels just plain don't fit. We still dont know the offset.

roll fenders and add neg camber. I see lots of lip to roll.

the real problem is the tires are too big. like brian said you need a mild stretch

How much did it cost you to flare those fenders? How much would it cost me if I wanted just the front 2 done?

Sorry, guy I got it done in Bangkok, Thailand not California .....

It cost me about $1100 to paint the whole car plus the flare job. To get the same thing done in California will cost at least twice as much.

Actually, I have a question. Would it be very unsafe to cut 3mm off the inner part of the rim that is scratching on the brake its-self? If I drove the car safely with care, would this be a problem?

You dont know what might happen on the road, so I doubt you can be ready for any situation.

Spacers can and will cause vibrations above 60mph. My 16" winter rims are mounted on spacers and they vibrate above 60 but when I put my summer 18" rims on without spacers they don't vibrate at all. Same thing with my friends mb sl500, his stock wheels don't vibrate at all but, with his davins on spacers they do vibrate above 60.
