Congratulations on a cool swap and sticking with it to sort everything out! Looks very nice!
Regarding turbo selection, the T04R is generally a bit laggy on the 2JZ relative to the power it can support. I think your present direction toward something in the range of a 60-mm compressor will make you happier. For what it's worth, the T-61 (such as those from Turbonetics or Precision Turbo) with a .58 or .68 exhaust housing has proven to be a very good and compatible choice for internally stock 2JZ. The compressor chart is well-matched to the air flow characteristics of the 2JZ, and the turbo will spool about the same if not quicker than the stock twins, yet support >600 whp on good fuel. Based upon your comments, I'd bet you would be happy with it. The 60-1 and 60-2 turbos don't seem to be quite as well suited overall, but not too bad.
That being said, I love the feel of a big turbo on the 2JZ (Supra, in my case, and 6-speed instead of automatic), so long as you have the rev limiter raised by 1000 RPM or more. However, on a car like the LS, I can see where one might want to stay with something a bit more sane.

Stupid of me. Should stick with 60mm turbo in the first place. Aiming for too much HP make the car not so fun to drive after all.

What do your LS run 1/4mile?
What does your LS run 1/4 mile? About how much rwHP do you have? Whats the fastest car you've beaten with your turbo setup?
Ps.. Your car looks great!

F-conV tuner ask me to upgrade the fuel injector to 850cc so he can increase boost. But I'm out of budget for now. So injector have to wait. The maximum boost for stock JDM 440cc is 1.4 bar ( my current set up) according to what my tuner told me. He also tell me that best power band for T04R is 1.8 to 2bar.

Here's a dyno chart from a TO4R with a .70 A/R exhaust housing, stock Japanese-market cams , and about 1.4 bar boost:

The stock 440-cc injectors may be pretty much maxed out before you reach 1.4 bar, so better be sure to watch the Air/Fuel ratio to be sure it doesn't go lean.

wow this is awesome, way more coverage on this site than on lextreme.com. About the drive shaft, did you have the stock ls400 one cut and rewelded or did you use the 2jz one or what? im confused on what you did there. for the car though man, you and retrodrive inspired me to do this! (though i may use a 1jz since its cheaper)

Stock LS400 unit cut and rewelded.
Check for fitment b4 cuting.
US spec and JDM spec drive shaft might be different. If you lucky you might not need any cutting. Good luck.
Will bring the car to dyno soon.......................................................will be back with HP number....

Just came back from Dyno.
Boost is 1.4bar on T04R with .70ar and stock 440cc injector +twin supra pump and stock cam for now. I have HKS 264 but haven't installed it yet.
By looking at the graph I think that the fuel need some adjustment between 5500 to 7000. Some said it suppose to head up not down. Will make some adjustment and back to dyno again soon.
Have to save up more $$$ to upgrade to 850cc injector. my goal is 550hp at 1.7 bar.
What shall I do next??????????

Shoppin for stock turbo vacuum block...
hi Gowest...
Saw the earlier threads that you'd changed stock twin turbo with a single turbo. I was wondering if you still keep the stock turbo assembly around with the vacuum assembly (or call something else)on it. The block that was circled in yellow...
I couldn't find one around town to replace the smashed vacuum cap for my 2JZ engine retrofitting on LS400.
Appreciate if you can make an offer or direct to site where this part can be found.

Then you don't need that vacuum thing anymore...

SWEET clean install! I'm collecting the bits I need to do a similar swap..Please clarify if I have it right. You used the engine from a JZS147 series Aristo, but the mount brackets from the later JZS161? Are the actual mounts(rubber part) that bolt to the crossmember the original off the LS/ Celsior? Appreciate any help you can give. P.S. I LOVE the 1JZ/Mustang conversion! AWESOME!

2JZ-GTE swapped into 1st Gen LS400
My El-Cheapo approach in case anyone is interested.
Swapped a 2JZ-GTE and auto trans. from a JZS147 Aristo into a 1993 LS400. Switch original aluminum engine mount brackets from left to right and right to left. This gets them pretty darn close to where they need to be(Fore/Aft). Utilised 2005 LS430 engine mounts (rubber mount). These mounts work well because the bottom stud and upper stud are off-set. They can be rotated like an eccentric to get you left/right alignment. Use the original LS400 trans mount bolted to the 2JZ's transmission. Use the LS400 output/ tailshaft flange on 2JZ transmission... this allows for use of the factory LS400 driveshaft without any modification. The engine sits a little high in the compartment, but hood still closes with only the slightest touching of the throttle body to the hood insulation.
Was actually able to use Aristo fuel line and power steering pressure hose.
Radiator is original LS400. Upper and lower radiator hoses were cut and joined to get proper fitment although upper hose fits tightly against throttle body i/c piping. Low profile Flex-a-lite dual electric cooling fans were mated to the factory fan wiring. Yes, you still need to purchase a Supra water pump and do the wire harness extension (which was prolly the most tedious part of this conversion )
I also went with a 4:10 final drive. Pulled the gears from an '07 IS350(no they don't come LSD)and tossed them into the original case...
If anyone else wants to do this conversion, I am willing to provide any info you may need.
