not really, all Amistad 2-pc wheels 19" (including Type F) weights about 28lbs including the box and accessories. According to Rominl, stock 17" is about the same weight
We sold all Type F in Chrome (in the US and Japan); therefore, Khoa has to wait till mid-March I cannot wait to see it either
BTW I think 20" will look better on LS430 than on LS400, Khoa, great choice

The added weight alters the rebound and compression characteristics of the suspension. I noticed the weight change immediately on mine. Braking and accelleration are different too.
The stock 16's for the '97 and '98 come in at 21 pounds give take a few ounces. The Michelin MX4V mounted on the wheel along with center cap comes in at 48 some odd pounds. The LSportline M4 one pieces with tire weighs in at 52 pounds. The BFG 245/40-18 TA-KDW-2 is 26.28 pounds.
If you opt for a big brake upgrade, the stock calipers with pads loaded weigh in at 9#'s not accounting for the fluid. With a larger rotor and 6 pot combo, you will easily be adding weight. The front is going be obviously different.

IMHO the 01+ Celsior can get away with 19s a little better than the 95-00. Also kudos to your for getting that wheel in brushed (would have been too much chrome!!)

Since I didn’t drop my car, I didn’t notice any rubbing at all and I didn’t have to roll the fenders either. In addition, I think 19s will look better on LS ….20s is just too big and it makes the car look like a SUV. In my opinion, LS looks nice due to its long body (just like the old model of Honda Accord LS or EX) and in keeping it low/close to the ground will make the body even longer. Good luck Lpham_3.

Lpham_3, the best sources that you can check on the tire fitment applications would be tirerack.com, superbuytires.com, or discounttiredirect.com. Also, check out the following link, I think it's quite helpful. Good luck

Obviously the LS is not a track car nor do most of us drive it such manner as to reach the limits. Within a certain percentage, the suspension and barkes have a built in tolerance. I suggest that those adding mods, be aware what this increased weight may have on the handling and braking performance of the car. I noticed it with mine.
YMMV of course.

Rotational mass!!!! Thank you!!! that is what I was refering to in bringing up the addded weight. My friend put 19" on his GS from the 18" he had, even thogh he had supra TT brake upgrade there was a marked difference in his stopping.(distance/efffort) Ohhh.... by the way the cheapest "big" break upgrade is a supra TT conversion kit is about $900 next would be the Rod Millen, if they are still avil. about $1200
