Default Difficulty in replacing springs and upper control arms?

I am considering buying and installing some eibach lowering springs. I've read they don't drop the car as much as the H&R springs (correct me if I'm wrong). Currently I have H&R springs with KYB GR-2 and the ride is too bumping (Corning is great though).

1) How difficult is it to remove the shocks from the car? If it is easy, can I remove the shocks and take them to a mechanic and have him change the springs?

2) Also how difficult is it to remove the upper control arms? I currently have Daizen bushings installed and I think the upper bushings are transferring too much road noise and making me feel little bumps. I am going to buy salvage control arms or go with Valamos bushings in Australia.

Any comments welcome.

Upper control arms are not too terribly hard to remove. There are three bolts, and taking them out is the only hard part. I wrote an article on how to replace the upper control arm bushings and sent it to earl last night. When he puts it up on his site ill link it here.
