They method I described is still using the oem relay plugged in. Just changing one wires power source.

If i were to pull the dash apart and saw a harness and relay hooked up I would scratch my head for at least 1hr. But the way I described one wire changed would be easier to figure out just by looking at wiring schematics.
What are you changing the power source to? currently the power source is the same, its the trigger thats different. currently its triggered by the headlights being in the ON position. You want the trigger to be free of that restriction.

I'd do the fog light mod, but I believe it's illegal to run my foglights when there is no fog here in Oklahoma

Sorry to re open an old thread but this is as close as I’m getting, my fogs don’t work, the bulbs are fine, fuse is fine. But I have yet to locate the relay, I see the pictures provided but they all say “please visit blank blank to unlock these photos” is there anyway someone could post again where it is in car, thanks.

Unfortunately unless the poster of that reply re-posts the pics they are gone. Has been a long time since I've browsed the thread so not sure where the diagrams may be to help you.

The relay is under the drivers dash near the kick panel. It’s attached to a white plastic mount that holds other relays and I think the fuses. You have to remove the black plastic to get to the top of that plastic piece
