My advice is if it "aint broke dont fix it!" I read the original post and thought that would be cool, but reading this new thread reminds why some repairs dont turn out so well, especially when people provide conflicting and incorrect advice (not poking at anyone here).

I know when I change my oil though, the engine suddenly runs smoother lol. If anything it could be the placebo affect that is perpetuating the myth of the clean airflow meter....

I used a lil alchohol and a microfiber towel. I was VERY careful too. NO hard strokes and made sure that I used very little pressure. It's fine. No CELS.
