I wouldn't get the Nav system. I have it (and it works just fine and I like it) but I'd love to be able to move it to my other cars and trucks and I'd like to be able to take it with me to put it in rental cars. If I had it to do over again I'd not worry about the Nav system and instead buy a portable Garmin GPS. It's WAY cheaper to buy and I'd bet that gawdam Lexus will charge and arm and a leg for an update to the DVD and to repair it if it ever needs it.
Others - I'd get the window shades, I have 'em and theyre awesome. I would NOT get the ridiculous rear seat massagers - what a frickin' joke. The Mark Leveinson audio, IMHO, SUCKS big time. I think that comes with the Nav package so get rid of the Nav and go with the cheap audio then replace it with aftermarket.

I have had several problems with my '04 NAV and would not recommend it. you should compare the ML to the standard to see if you want it.
