about 125mph while racing a mustang.

won't ever do it again though. my car is just too old to be driven that fast.

I'll assume that you are young & just asking out of curiosity & have no intent of finding this out for yourself.

The safest demonstration I have ever seen of the top speed capability of an LS ( don't remember the year) was from a picture here at the CL Forum that showed a speed of 157 on a dynomometer test. This ofcourse would not account for aerodynamic drag that you would have in the real world, but is still rather amazing.

And, btw: I don't even think I would want to be in the same garage when any vehicle is at that speed on a dyno.

Top speed of the LS430 is 130, courtesy of the speed limiter and a few members here .

Hey guys

Well if yoo remember I hit 153mph in August of last year. The car was not slowing down at all. i was expecting a fuel cut off at 149 as the Lexus Owners manual says but I never hit it. I have hit the fuel cut of in many many cars including my RX. Now was the wind pushing from behind, was the spedometor wrong, who knows? It was just a total blast seeing the needle go that far to the right.

Now the speeding ticket that follow was extreamly painful.

If I rememebr right a CL member some years ago said his LS hit somewhere in the 160+mph in Eurpoe somewhere.

Here is my other speed post.

@GRAND_LS 4,

thanks for the link, but my name is "Christian". I'm not a female!
All LS430 I have driven here in europe were limited to 250km/h, the speedo always showed 260km/h.

SORRY, I knew you were a guy, but I had someone named Christine buy something from me yesterday, and I wrote that name about 6 or 7 times on different packages and papers, so it stuck in my head. Sorry again

Thumbs up

Upper 120s on Beltway 8 in Houston in the early AM, windows down as well as the sunroof... More wind than you can imagine at that speed.

Car was plenty stable, I just opted to get out of it as I like living at home not with the county.
