That is pretty lame. He didn't even keep with the numbering scheme for Lexus engines. 3 for 6 cylinders, 4 for 8 cylinders, and I would imagine if they ever produced an authentic V-12 it would be an LS630 or SC630. :eek:I'd love to see one of those babys on the market.

Actually Lexus' name scheme is based on displacement not cylinders. LS430 Stands for Luxury Sedan 4.3 liter, SC430 stands for Sport Coupe 4.3 liter, ES300, Executive Sedan 3.0 liter etc.

If Lexus were to come out with a 5.0liter V12 (being kicked around believe it or not" then it would be an LS500.

No, no, people . . .I have a sighting that beats that. I saw a white Mustang with Lexus badges on the highway today. For shame. I wanted to run him off the road.

I saw an old Escort on the tracks with the Audi rings on the hood. They didn't even bother to take the Ford oval off the grille . HA!

Actually, Toyota does make a V12 in another large car for the Japanese only market. Someone familiar with the VIP cars may know more. I believe it is a 5 liter engine. Power is NOT its main selling point.

Please help me understand. Why would somebody want to mess up their car like that? I followed some links that pointed Japanese sites and I almost cried. When you do that much work to a car it looks awful. I can understand putting some classy rims on a car, lowering it, and putting a nice body kit on. But why would you want to lower an ES or LS? A lowered GS or IS looks good, but not an ES or LS (just my opinion). Groundwork is no good (it's a car, not a dance club) and hydraulics are completely pointless and are the lest functional of anything I've mentioned so far. Why not keep the car looking stock and just mod the hell out of the drivetrain, intake/exhaust, suspension, etc.? When you beat the guy in a 1/4 mile on the street, you'll leave him scratching his head saying, "But it didn't look THAT fast. . ." Maybe since I'm poor I just don't get it . . . oh well . . .

That's a Honda Accord, 2 generations back.

The Toyota with the V12 (DOHC 5.0 liter V12) in Japan is the Toyota Century, it's geared towards executives and high level government officials that would have a chauffeur.

Also believe it or not Lexus has been toying with the ida of making an LS500 with that engine. The main market for that car would be Europe where Lexus is not as stron as they are in the US. But of course if they make it for Europe they would probably bring it here to make it more economical.
