Thank you for reply but $500 US is not the price I'm willing to pay for it when you can buy aftermarket wheel for $200 max on ebay.
Another problem I'm not in US And even if I start all this story I'm staiyng without car for 4-6 weeks and it's not acceptable.

Default 95-97 Steering Wheel

Will a Airbag from a 95-97 LS400 fit on a 99' LS400 steering wheel?

I don't believe so. I think the steering wheel is different.

Hey man,

I actually looked into doing this, and its very possible. There is acompany called American Stitches. They actually did a group buy on ClubLexus, it was mostly with the GS guys. I think the whole process costs around $350, atleast thats what it cost back then. THey do afull rewrap with wood.

They had a loaner steering wheel which they would send you, charge you like a $1000 deposit, then you sent yours in, and three weeks later you got your wheel back.

I know ther eare abunch of threads on the forum. Search for American Stitches on this forum, as well as on google, and give them a call.

I'm thinking about getting this done later too, but I still have to decide wether I'm going to keep this car or not.

Default wood steering wheel for 1996 LS400

Is there a factory woodgrain steering wheel that fits the 1996 LS400? It seems to me that they only came leather wrapped until 1998+. Are newer model year steering wheels compatible? Any suggestions?

I think this has been covered B4 - as I recall the airbag connections are different. There are vendors like leatherseats.com that offer them for around $600 tho.

1998 - 00 the wood is not the same color and the wood grain is a little different.
