nien drifter, I just wanted to see what it would look like if only the clear sections were tinted, not the entire assembly

No!!! I WILL keep the lights MODIFIED. I refuse to let someone elses inability to drive scare me. If we fear every little possible mishap life would be boring, My brake light visability has no effect on an unobservant driver, so I might as well have a nice looking car

persian-can you please take some pics of ur tails at night with the lights on? i want a general idea of how much the tint takes away from the brightness. factor.

It's as if I dont have anything on the tailights.. It doesnt hinder the light coming out of the housing. I don't know why everyone thinks it'll limit the light coming from the tailiights.. The VHT Nite Shades is a transparent black spray.. Just like black tester spray from a hobby shop.

Unfortunately, I lost my camera a couple days ago.. so I cant get an update picture.. But this mod is easy and it looks great IMO..

That is a nice looking mod that's relatively inexpensive. They have tint wrap and you can also paint it yourself. The only problem with tinting tail lights is that it's not SAE/DOT approved so you're bound to get a ticket (especially in CA). According to the regulations, you need red reflectors.
