5% Tints???
Finaly im going to get my tints done this wekend and i have a few questions. Should I get 5% tints in the back of my 98ls and 20% or 15% in the front . Im sick of the factory bronze tint or whatever because it just looks like its faded. From the people who have them: Can you see when you reverse at night or even during the day. Can you see the cars coming from your blind spots when you have to look back ????
Thanks everyone

I've got 15% all the way around. During the day it's not much of a difference but at night it does take some getting used too. Just drive a little more cautiously at night and make sure you turn off the glare reduction on your rearview mirror or you won't be able to see at all.

I have 5% on the rear window, 10% on the rear passengers, and 15% on the front passenger sides. It really adds alot to the car and also makes it dramatically cooler during those hot days. The visibility problem is easily avoided by rolling down your windows (when backing up) and during night, driving its unaffected. Its actually very cool watching the headlights from another car hit your rear defrosts at night, it scatters into a million different specs like a broken glass. Its just something you get used to .... damn i love lexus

I got 5% tint on all my 3 rear windows and no tint on the front windows since thats illegal in California and I don't want to take the risk. When backing up, visibility at night is greatly reduced and my parents always complain about that when they drive my car, but you will eventually get used to it. Also, after having my tints on for about 4 years, I am starting to see some bubling on the rear window. The rear window was not covered under the tints lifetime warranty because of the defrosters, so just make sure you get good coverage on your tints.

I got the medium 20% shade on all the windows of my 01 ES......looks classy & I am able to see out at night without any problems. 5% (or limo) tint is too dark & you might regret it down the road.

Hey i might just do the 5, 10, 15 thing.... Does it still look clean or do you think i should go 10% on all the back windows and 15% on the front windows.
Do you have any pics by any chance?
Thanks for all of the replys.

Finally got them a week late and i got 15% all the way around . I think its plenty dark and theres not too much of a difference of vision at night. I also got a strip across the windshield and it goes down like 25% of the windsheild. At first i thought it was way too large for what i was looking for and then after a few mins i really started liking it. I'll take pics tomorow.
