Hey GrandLS, Did they make air ride on our models? Because when I start up my car I hear thie werid noise that sounds like air ride on other cars.

Yes they did. The LS has had an Air Ride option since 1990, but its VERY rare on the second gens, even more so on the 98-00.

If you do, you would have an extra button by the gearshift that says "Height" High, or normal.

......2000 Black LS with the air suspension (I had asked questions about the air suspension in another thread) It was a one-owner vehicle, in MINT condition with 45K miles on it, and all service records at the Lexus dealer!!.....I paid $22,676 out the door ($20,650+tax+reg.) for it .....I know that was a bit on the "higher side", but as you guys mentioned AIR-SUSPENSION equipped 98-00 are virtually non existant.....and I'm told the ones that even did exist, came in combination with the Nav system. Mine has the NAKAMICHI instead ....so it's even rarer!! .....just had to have the air-susp and Nakamichi, I guess!! . I will be custom installing the Alpine NVE-N872A Nav system with XM NAVTRAFFIC, when it comes out in a month. I'm planning to mount the monitor in a custom-made, "stock-looking" wood box above the vents!!
