'92 LS400 Headlight issue
Is there supposed to be a chime/beeper that goes off when you leave the lights on? I have had the battery drained too many times just by leaving the lights on since there is no sound telling me to turn them off.
Thanks...

i doubt it. you cant tell if your lights are on especially if you are aware of this issue?

At night it is pretty obvious so I just turn them off, but after a morning commute it is bright enough that is hard to tell that the lights are on.
I would be really surprised if this car didn't have some sort of "hey, the lights are on!" indicator. I think they have been doing that for many years. I'm beginning to wonder if the "door sensor" has failed because the dome lights do not come on when the door is open.

There is no indicator that tells you your lights are on but it does sound like there is a good chance that your door sensor may not be working properly because the headlights are supposed to automatically go off once the key is out of the ignition and the door is opened.
BTW, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the response... Looks like I found a good home for the Lexus. I come from the BMW world where I used to frequent bimmerforums.com. I'll have to check that door sensor out, it may be root of the issue here.
