Cool Old or new one? *pics*

Hello everyone..

I found some pics on a Japanese car site of Lexus'. The front was like an 98-00 but the rear had the "old" rear lights.. The big sexy ones :hehe: ..
I'll put in some pics.
Is it possible to use the rear of an older LS on a newer, or otherwise?

um.. no

I don't know what year it is etc..

And those rear lights would be really great in Norway. 'Cause we get these cute mini numberplates when there isn't enough room for the big ones,,

When there isn't enough room we either get this type: (big)

or this: (the cute small one)

The normal numberplates:

i'm pretty sure that is a first gen with a swapped front end. The curves on the car aren't edgy enough, it's all rounded except for the switched front end. I'm like 90% sure.

Okay, thanks =)

Are all the parts "bolt on" so I can just switch the front end on a 1st gen?
Or do I have to customize everything to make it fit?

Thank You =)

I'm pretty sure the parts can just bolt on. I've seen it done before. Check with your local body shop to confirm that or do a search in CL.

From the A,B,and C pillars and the head rest on the front seat of the black car, you can tell it is a Gen 1 car, with a gen 2.5 front end swap. The C pillar on the Gen 2 and 2.5 is huge compared to Gen 1. Also, the rear doos are longer in the gen 2 and 2.5 compared to Gen 1. Those cars are Gen 1.

Sorry, I still have an Audi But I'm almost 100% sure that I'll buy an LS400 soon..
I just need like $40 000.. I know how to get it.. I just need a job
And maybe wait like 1 1/2 year.. But it's better to ask now and know, than don't ask and don't know.. 'Cause it would just be too bad to do mistakes..

Thats what I was about to say, the 2nd gens have longer rear doors, and windows.

So $40,000 US for and LS400??
