Smog Reflects Engine condition?
Just bought a 92 LS 400 with 200K miles. The mileage really worries me (but that is all I can afford for now). Read that the smog check is an indication of engine condition. Is this true? A compression check is out of question because of the cost.
Anyway here are my smog readings (passed). Hope the engine still has some miles in it. Anyone can help decipher it??
M1 15mph (1483 RPM)
CO2 (%) - 14.8
O2 (%) - 0.5
HC (PPM) - 2
CO(%) - 0.02
NO (PPM) - 45
M2 25mph (1534 RPM)
CO2 (%) - 14.8
O2 (%) - 0.4
HC (PPM) - 0
CO(%) - 0.01
NO (PPM) - 68
