Default Best Spark plugs?

It's about time I replaced my spark plugs on my LS. What are the best I can get?? Is there anything else I can get to do to make my gas mileage any better?

Replacing an old plug with a new one may improve your mileage "although not noticeably". Just about any platinum will work. I have used Bosch platinum, Platinum +4, and ND irridium with good results, but none provided better mileage or power than the other. If you want to save $$$, go with the cheapest Bosch Platinums.

As I said, go with the cheapest paltinums you can find. That is the only cost savings you'll see.

I just bought the BOSCH Platinum 2 plugs for my ES300. Cost about $25 for 6 plugs. Are these good enough for the ES300 (it is a 1993, has 127000 miles) or should i buy the BOSCH Platinum 4?

Thanks in advance

Denso PK20R-11 plugs. $6 a piece. Why mess with success. Personally, i'm not a fan of the Bosches.

Default Iriduim plugs are a "best value"

None of the different plugs make a difference in mileage when they are new. The longevity of the plug makes a big difference over time however.

I've had my LS400 long enough to try them all; factory platinum, normal NGK copper, and Iridium. I replaced my platinum plugs at 90k and they needed it badly. The standard NGKs worked great but only for 5,000 miles. The iridium plugs still look new after 50k. I noticed that the iridium plugs have significantly reduced oxidization in the cap/rotor assemblies also. I still clean them (the cap/rotor) every 15k but they are nowhere near as bad as they used to be.

My recommendation, buy the ND or NGK iridium plugs from eBay. You can get them for about $50

today i just put in NGK iridium IX in no difference that i can tell But box says "The benifits of NGK Spark Plugs-Lower fuel consumption-longer life-Smoother engine running - Improved ignition effeciency giving enhanced power and acceleration." We will see my LS had denso PK20R11 they worked a long time. CarQuest had them in stock and they cost 7.33 a piece
