Default Starting The Car After A Week

Hey guys, today i started my car after a week and the car sounded like it was missing but didnt throw a check engine light but saw some blue smoke out the tail pipe and when the car warmed up the roughness was gone....is this common or my car needs some maintenance? recently changed the spark plugs (approx...1000miles). maybe the distributors needs to be changed...wires?? thanks for the advice guys!!!

sounds like your valve stem seals are leaking oil into your cylinders making it smoke when you start it after a while. the longer it sits the more oil has time to leak in. burning excessive oil could make it misfire untill the oil is burned out. do you have to add oil often? you may be burning oil and not know it. also, when you installed your spark plugs, did you gap them properly? just some thoughts, if the seals are leaking, the only fix is to replace the seals. you should just have the head rebuilt if your gonna go that far. hope this helps.

it happens. its common, as you will see it only happens when the car sits for long periods of time. it happened in my car and it was sitting for almost a month. dont worry about it unless it happens EVERY time you start the car.
