Nightmare in the Lexus Service Dept...

Hello all… I am trying this as a way to gather info regarding whom I should go to for service. The Lexus dealer wants to charge $1000 just for the 120K services, and that does not even include changing the timing belt?
In addition, I have a loose rattling sound in the right front, (like the strut is loose, or bad, and the car is pulling to the right). I do not have the air-suspension… are there any known problems with this, what are the fixes? Can a competent brake shop re-surface the rotors and align the front end?
Thanks in advance to all that reply!

As far as the services, I think any shop could do them as long as they have the correct machines to flush the trans. The cooling system will need to be flushed and renewed with "Dex-cool" The braking system might need to be flushed as well. As far as the noise, it is a common problem. The bushings in the upper control arms take a dive, problem with this is the whole arm as an assembly needs replaced.
Lexus knows of this problem they have a TSB on it:
"SU92001 JUL 92 Front Upper Control Arm Bushing - Noise "
Too bad they won't compensate for it
Its pretty common.

By the way , the arm cost each $300-400.
Mine has the same problem and I am shocked
to see that to replace the bushing you have to
shell out that kinda of money.
If I get a sample of the bushing dimensions, I'll probably
have some machined out of polyurethane to see how
it works out.
