I am ordered a front bra for my new 2001 LS430.

Can someone tell me if the Lexus Parking Assist system is standard on all models?

Same question for the Lexus Radar Cruise Control.

The bra maker says the cutouts for these two will be there if they are standard on the LS430.

Thanks!

First off, never put a bra on a car. It will increase wind resistance, lower gas mileage, increase wind noise, scratch the paint, accellerate rusting, and cause the paint on the front under the bra to resist aging, so when you take the bra off, the paint is a different shade than the rest of the car, that kills resale. Plus on a car like a Lexus a bra looks tacky as hell. If you want to protect the front from rock chips have a 3M film put on. Makes the paint impossible to chip but doesnt retard sun aging and it is totally invisible.

And the parking assist is an option for 01, not sure about 02.

The parking assist is still an OPTION for '02. Just bought
one about 2 weeks ago with the 'custom luxury' package, not
the 'ultra luxury' package. Both of these packages include the
park assist feature but the BASE car does not include it.

Stephen Withrow, I was thinking of getting a bra for my '92 LS because I drove it to Montana, Colorado, from Cali this summer, and got a heck of a lot of bugs and etc. Cleaning these off the front takes a toll on the finish also. My question is "Can you put the 3M film on temporarily for trips and have it last the entire trip, or would it be prudent to use the bra for road trips only?"

Okay, here's what I found out about car bras. As has been mentioned before the old style black, vinyl car bras have their draw backs. Hard to attach, whip against paint in airstream, increase Reynold's number, promote uneven UV aging, can actually scratch paint, and quite frankly don't look all that good. The new solution is to use a 3 mil polyurethane film to protect the paint. It addresses each caveat as formerly mentioned, and is not noticeable to the undiscerned eye. This is relatively new, and not as ubiquitous as the old bras, therefore a little more expensive. The web site I found seems to have all the Lexus kits. I don't know about their service or reputation, all I know is that they have pre cut kits. www.invinca-shield.com
