Is there a clear coat on the 1st gen. LS400 ? I have a 1991.
I have the "chips" in the hood from the highway.
I really don't want to have the entire hood painted.
It usually is less than perfect.
How do you take care of those chip problems.

Lexus paint does seem to chip easily, and yes it has a clearcoat as long as it isnt black.
I always have chips airbrushed at the dealer, never even know they were there.
