Emergency brake won't releast - Dashboard lights won't come one until it warms up
JI have two questions I'd like your advice on:
1) I haven't used my emergency brake in a while and yesterday I parked on a hill and pushed it down with my lfeft foot. When I went to release it (supposedely with a tap of the pedal) it just pushed down harder and now won't release at all.
Anyone know how to deal with this? Can I just release the screws and take the pedal off?
2) My instrumentation panel lights won't come on if it's cold. After the car warms up they flicker and come on. Speedometer and tach work but are not lit. When it's very cold (below zero) it takes a full ten minutes to come on.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanksl

Are you sure you are supposed to tap the pedal to release it? I test drove a '94 and it had a hand release to the left of the steering wheel for the parking brake. Sorry if this sounds dumb.
