Default Cleaning MAF 91 LS 400

Tried cleanin the MAF but I could not find the wire. Located the MAF which is just after the air filter. Instead of removing the whole MAF from the car, I uncliped the plug attached to the MAF and then unscrewed the 3 small screws and pull up the module. What I found is this rectangular plastic piece but could not located the wire. DO I have to remove the entire assembly to clean the MAF?

For the LS 430, one only needs to pull out the plastic module and the wire is right there. I guess I will pull out the whole MAF to look for the hot wire

Hot wire? There is none! It is solid state using vortex principle.

No wonder I could not find it. Anything I could clean to improve performance?? Should I spray MAF cleaner on the plastic piece

your better off leaving the MAF alone and cleaning out the throttle body.

Definately. The MAF is too expensive to mess with.
