Yeah it makes sense on a 98 but I've never heard of anyone getting that good mileage on a first gen.

I usually average 23mpg..
The Lexus is pretty good for a V8!!

For me, my average in Bay Area traffic is 17-19mpg. I've gotten nearly 26mpg on a snowboarding trip to Tahoe/Truckee in the heart of December, I used Chevron gas/kept cruise on between 65-75, and i didn't have to stop in Vacaville or Davis on the way back for gas,
