DIY guard flaring – My photo’s.
Just thought I would post some photos of my new lips, it’s not a major pull, but it’s getting there.
I’ll be running a 18 or 19 inch rim by around 11inch wide with a – 10 offset, I plan on hanging rim out with tire stretch hence why I didn’t go too crazy on the flare
It was relatively easy to do; unfortunately I didn’t take that many pics though. They are still far from fished, and need a bit more filler (even though I ended up with almost none after I sanded it all smooth). *Note I still had to do quite a bit of inner guard work for future clearance*
The current rims are only 18x9 with a + offset, so no flaming! They are just beater rims. I guess for those that wanted to know what the largest rim you could fit under stock lS400 guards were, well I got 20x10.5 with a 285/30 rubber (minor lip roll to stop scrubbing)
Still not sure on what will be my new rim style, always open to idea's
I like big lips..
Body re-manipulation device..

I forgot to mention that I ended up cutting off the inner lips, which cut into the inner guard kinda. It made it a bit easier I guess to do the initial pull.
Let me know how you go with your guards, if you need any help just shot me a PM and I see if I can explain it a bit better.
