I forgot but somebody awhile ago said he lowered his LS be disconnecting some little iron rod in the wheel well and the air suspension would then lower the car 2.5 inches.

hey peepz...i too have air suspension on my lex but don't want to mess with it. everytime i drive and park my car somewhere it seems to change its height. i think the reason being is that it has a computer linked to it. so i suppose if i tried to mess with that bar and try to drop it the computer will want to read the original specs. then maybe the computer will will have an engine check or something. i don't know. anyone here know exactly what to do? i'm not an expert, but just speculating, because the air suspension will be a whole lotta to replace. does anyone know where to get upgraded air suspensions?

Hey Gang,
If the computer control the height of the ride, where can i get a programable computer for the air suspension? Sport ride (stiffness of the suspension) and ECT power also control by the computer too.
Therefore, someone must make a computer that can control the height of the ride, the stiffness of the suspension and Shifting RPM for the Transmission.
I would be very much interested to obtain one or find out more information about it. Any info on that?
I know there are a lot of stuffs from Japan, but i dont read Japaness.

i called rod millen a while back and asked if they had a computer chip for the air suspension. they told me they didn't have any.
the only other alternative i came up with was to replace the air suspension with shocks and springs. but you would lose the capability of the air suspension and the chance of messing something up is very high.

I did when under the car and check out the Air Suspension setup and noticed 2 little pencil like rods. I am sure the rods closest the shock is the adjustable air. Like i said, i was just looking. I dont want to mess it up. I rather paid someone to do it right.

David those are the rods you have to mess with.
I think gs4to4 was the one who had done something with those rods and lowered his car like 2.5 inches or somthing,You should send him a private message or e-mail him.

David,
The Lexus service manual outlines the specific procedure to adjust the height at each corner. Do you have the service manuals for your car? It looks like a simple procedure 1/2hr or so....

No i dont, but when i took my car to balance my tires. I took a very close look at it and its very easy.
The rod have two adjusting screws. It adjust up and down. I need to find out is tighting it will lower or raises.
After you take out the tire, only one screw to take the whole thing out. Adjusting it will take a challenge. I will try it this sunday.
