Default I could kick the previous owners ***!!!

I ripped my LS apart today in my journey of changing the spark plugs/wires and damnit!!! There were Bosch plugs in there, some crappy ones too!

So far I've changed the p/s fluid - which was not RED, definitely some generic p/s fluid when it should be Dexron
Changed out the brake fluid, who knows what was in there!

now today I changed the plugs & wires to find some 1997 wires and BOSCH, possibly the platinum series, plugs!! I replaced with NGK wires/plugs and WOW, my idle is at the correct spec 650, and the hesitation off the line....TOTALLY GONE. She runs like a little baby again!

Next up, changing brakes to r1concepts rotors & Axxis deluxe pads...Changing differential fluid to Mobil1, Tranny drain & fill with Toyota fluid & replacing the fluid strainer..Then a valve adjustment to get rid of that annoying tick!

I could kick the old owner's *** for neglecting such a nice car!

Thanks CL for all your guidance, and damn I need to donate some $$ to Lexls for his GREAT tutorials.

I have that tick too. Is a valve adjustment job hard? I do simple DIY and have even replaced a tranny but is it worth it to fix? I know its annoying but only because the rest of the car is so quiet! LS Lover what part of GA are you from. I'm from the Athens/ATL area.

My car was neglected a bit too. I'm glad though. I got her real cheap and she seems to be fine!

the valve adjustment to the best of my knowledge is fairly straightforward on the 1UZ but is very tedious and a bit hit-or-miss.

omarg, I'm in the Kingsland area...southhhhh GA, exit 3 off I95 once you get into GA from FL.

I was JUST in Athens a few months ago, I bought my rims @ Athens Finest Wheels. Got a good deal on rims/tires. I also hit up the Best Buy while I was there, seems like a nice place.
