1997 with nearly 130,000 miles on the odo. at the time. Three adult males, trunk full of luggage, heading to Tuscon for spring training baseball. Set the cruise control at a touch over 100 and it was drama free and smooth as silk.
Keep in mind, this isn't something I'd regularly recommend or do but the speed limit between Tuscon and Phoenix is 80 and I just had the car completely service. Two lanes each way, and absolutely no traffic.
I'm 100% certain that Ol' Bessie would have gone much faster as she was still pulling like a freight train at 100 before I set the CC.
BTW - Got 24mpg for the total 4 day weekend (nearly 1,000 miles).

The only Hwy I am ever on these days is the heavily trafficked & policed I-35 between Dallas & Austin.
106 is about my top speed & only in a short burst. The thought of paying that ticket makes me wince!!

120mph on stock tires/suspension. Started to get unstable so I had to let off the accelorater. Got up to 142mph (what the spedo read but I doubt it was accurate) with my twenties and suspension mods. Was VERY smooth.
God I miss my LS
