Default Headlight help....

For those of you who have the first gen LS and have done the JDM headlight conversion, I need a little help. I recently installed my 1 piece headlights, and even followed the advice of the forum to convert my wire harness from 9004 to 9003 in order to accomodate the new bulb housing. The problem I am having now is no matter what brand of headlight I put in, they coom out looking to be on the yellowish side. They turn onm /off fine, high beam seems to be what I think the normal light output should be in terms of bright maybe a little brighter, however I am not sure which way to go to fix this problem. I did a search in the forums and got plenty of good information to do the conversion, however I am having trouble finding a solution for this one. Did I need to install a relay?? Can anyone help me and breakdown the wires one by one so I can go back and recheck them??? I did get a generic wire harness from my local parts store, so could this be the problem?? I plan to install HID's soon, but need headlight in the meantime. Any of the 1st gen members who have done the conversion and retrofitted your wire harness, please help. Thanks!!!!

Sorry for the crappy daytime pic, but see how my low beams seem kinda weak. They are not too much brighter than this at night. The foglight is all white b/c I took the yellow housing out that the bulb sits in. Any thoughts??

Just leave the forum here. Someone will reply shortly.
I am planning to make the same conversion and did a lot of research as well. Looks like we only need to change bulbs to H4 (or 9003) as you mentioned.

can you post a pic of your wiring harness? You may have wired it wrong.

Here's a pic of how I did mine.

I used silverstars bulbs and they worked fine.
