other than seats..

im looking at steering wheel, wood trim, shifter, radio, front dash stuff... and was wondering if it is plug and play.

The electronics may have a different wiring harness so it might be a bit different. Overall, I don't think they changed the sound system so that should be good. You obviously won't get the connectors for the nav and dash computer indicators that relay gas consumption and such.

Did the 98+ have the integrated visors that controlled garage door openers?

The garage door opener was integrated into the sunroof controls.

THen you would have to replace everything since the 98+ had a different color climate control, and radio. So you would run into into a problem if the climate control doesnt fit, or the vents. If im not mistaken, the vents were made smaller, to make room for the bigger climate control. But then you might run into some incompatiablity. But if you have access, its worth the try...

Also, you would then have to change the center console wood since the climate control wooden strip wouldnt match the rest of the car (lighter color on the 98+).

does anyone in here know...if the all auto window switches would work on a 95.....since they just swap right into the door!!

im pretty sure u need to swap the door ecu's to make those work.

possibley more than that too.

Hello to all, while on the subject of swaps, I've got a 91 LS and I want to upgrade my steering wheel. I was thinking about buying a 98 LS wheel and putting it on, i was wondering whether it will fit, what kind of conversion would I need, will the cruise control work, and can I go as high as and LS430 wheel. My leather on my wheel is all gone and I need a new steering wheel, thanks in advance.

physically it will fit but your airbag wont, and the later model LS400 airbags wont work in your cars (2stage v 1 stage).

best bet is to get your wheel rewrapped.

The last poster to this thread cited that you cannot install a '98 wood steering wheel in a '95-97 ls400...if this is true, does anybody have any leads on a places that do re-wraps and have had good results. Any wood conversion to '95-'97 wheels, or aftermarkert "plug-and-play" wheels? Want to keep driver airbag functionality

does anybody know if i can use the pioneer radio from a 98-00 and place it on my 95? the radio looks exactly identical from the front...

the reason why i ask is because the back lighting on my radio does not go on when i turn on the headlights. ive made an attempt to replace the bulbs for the heck of it and the same thing occurs. i cannot find any radio from a 95-97 on ebay but i do see a lot of radios for 98-00. please let know. i hate being left in the dark.... ='(

They are different finishes, it wont match your dash.
