newly bough 94 LS400 and 1st problem...water in the trunk
I just got my LS400 today!!! I had it shipped from Florida and for only driving it for a matter of hours I am already in love with it!!
Now to the problem..I noticed that under the CD changer and a plastic cover there is water just sitting there. Oddly enough the water is not under the spare and is not in the other corner, just the corner with the CD changer. Any ideas of where this water is coming from? Other then the small lake in the back of the car, it is absolutely wonderful!! By the way the water is very new....doesn't smell bad and likely accumulated from the ride on the top of the transit truck from Florida to Seattle Washington!!

Welcome to CL.
How does the weather seal around the trunk look?
One easy test, rub a chalk line around the edge of the weather seal and see where the water has gotten past. Other variations would be to put newspaper in the trunk and see where the wet spots are following a wash or rain.
What side is the antenna mast on?

is the water collecting under the false plastic cover under the trunk mat? i had a similar problem on the driver's side of the trunk. found water leaking through the gap between the quarter panel and rear bumper. i used some silicone sealant from the inside to stop the leak. also check that there is a rubber cap at the bottom of the trunk, under the plastic cover.
