I have bought Lexus LS400 few weeks ago and I don't have owner's manual so I can't figure out what this strange 'oil control' means. It looks like oil control but it has kind of a wave under it. The whole symbol is yellow and it is at the bottom of a desk control. The car is fabulous but very complicated, I would say, too complicated for me Sorry for strange talk, English is not my first language... Hope you can help me...

 

Well what year LS? Which oil light? There is one for oil pressure and one that lets you know if the oil is low. I believe the bottom right one is the one for the oil low condition.

 

This is 91' and I'm talking about the yellow one on right side next to breake pads control. This silly light sceared me a bit... The level of the oil in my engine correct, near the upper line. In automatic transmission also. I've checked all fluids and they're all fine, on good level.

Thats oil level light. Just check your oil level, and if its fine, dont worry about it

 

I heard its common on first gens for the oil level sensor head south.

 

Well, my LS was stolen and stripped, and they stole my gauge cluster, and cut all the harness wires. When I got a new cluster and harnesses, I spliced the wires, and everything was working, except that the oil light was on. It turned out, that I spliced one pair of wires wrong, and that triggered the oil light, althought everything else was fine. It's probably not related to your problem, but if you ever messes with your cluster harnesses, you might want to look into it.
