Well, I'm not yet an LS owner, but I'm going to be getting one in the Spring, but I'm 17 and a high-school student.
My family is pretty much poor so I have to work hard to get the money for my Lex, which is why there is no LS400 on my driveway right now.

LOL. If I might add yet another comment. I have been into luxury cars all my life. All those years of having my parents purchase Cadillacs, Lincolns, Buicks, and then make the transaction from American to Foreign and back again, made me a lover of luxury. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the occasional sports car (I've owned 2 or 3), but nothing gets attention like a nice luxury car.
So, having said that piece, the LS, and several other makes/models, are popular with us young people. The thing is not all of us (young people) can afford them. That's the breaker. LOL

Nevertheless, I've always liked sports and luxury type sedans and this is the first full size luxury sedan I've had, although the 96 LS is far less luxurious than the newer models. I gotta say though that I'm amazed at the demographics here, but I'm sure Lexus is fully aware of them and the bumper crop of buyers that may be ultimately moving up to buy new.

Female, 64, retired. I have wanted a Lexus LS 400 ever since I drove a friend's first generation when it was new. Just bought a '99 with 114k miles, in perfect condition. Previous owners provided ALL service records including oil changes. Paid $11,500. Magnificent car.

You have to remember that this forum is only viewed and updated by a small segment of the Lexus owners out there in the world. Taking that into consideration, I would think that the general age of LS owners is actually higher than the average 18-24 yr old on clublexus.com. If you think about the number of high line vehicles made in the late 90s and how reliable they are, it's easy to see how they will be more and more affordable to younger and younger buyers.
This certainly isn't a bad thing because all of these younger members (myself included even though I'm 28) on here who have been fortunate enough to drive a nice Lexus will more than likely purchase another newer Lexus in the future.

I'm actually a 2gen GS owner but popped over to the LS section... I'm thinking a nice LS430 is in the cards for me in the future. And for the record - I'm a product manager for a famous dot-com company and owner of an import business on the side.
By the way everyone - NICE RIDES...

Unfortunately, I was never motivated at school, that's why I took a break and worked for a little bit. I'm going back to finish up for a bachelors in international business (full time).

I am 25. My 1994 LS was passed down from my father (bought used in '96 with 30k miles) to my brother and then to me. I'm finishing up my last year in dental school and it now has 165k. Hopefully in a few years I will be able to upgrade to an LS460 (LS600h?).
