Congrats on your purchase dac! If this is your first Lexus, you're certain to feel the same about as I do. I won't be driving any other make of car in the future. Being a mechanic should give you a leg up on non-mechanics like me when it comes to diagnosing and repairing the car.

Welcome! I'm sure if this is your first lexus it wont be your last. Me and my parents bought three used ones in a span of three months. I absolutely love ebay.

thanks for the warm welcome, it is my first Lexus and always wanted one but couldn't afford the high prices and I like the series 1 LS400 the best as it seems to be more of a collectible classic in its own right so might start going up in value ( not that I would part with her ) ide sooner sell the wife if I had one lol,
I could go on forever but you all know how good the cars are and the toys in them mines the 1991 November so the later version and has all a man could wish for, I've ordered the TIS discs so will have lots of information on then as soon as they come.
I'm from Cleveland in the United Kingdom if that makes any difference

Congrats on your buy. I just bought my first Lexus, a 92 LS400 w/153k miles. Surprisingly the leather is still intact, and for the most part, the car rides like a dream.

There are a few cosmetic issues to work out, but I got the car at a steal...half the price of KBB! According to Carfax, I'm the 4th owner. No salvage, odometer rollback, or major accidents.

I did see that the fender has been painted once (I paint cars as a hobby), and someone decided to change the two-tone pearl white/silver paint to all pearl white (this didn't turn out so nice).

When I get some time, I plan to paint her back to stock, properly of course.

And I've already succumbed to ordering most the of goodies as listed here and on lexls.com.

It does make a difference! Assuming it is true that you are from UK then your car probably a right hand drive model.
