Yesterday was the first time I have ever had the FUCA hit. When it happened the first thing that I thought was "Crap, I lied to Ethan..". The wife and I were heading down some old backroads to a cemetery to do some research on her ancestors and I hit a fairly substantial ridge in the road that was hidden by shade. I was going about 20mph and it caused a ruckus.. I took the car down all of the old back roads I grew up on and my UCA didn't touch a thing.
I've had the standard 16" chromes (225/60/R16) on my 2000 LS400 (87K original miles) since I got it 5 years ago and have been more than happy with them. Now sadly the chrome is starting to "flake" and as I need new rubber anyway, I've decided to upgrade to 17".
Found a great set of 2004 LS430 6 spoke chromed for only $100! Just getting cash together for four new Michelin MXV4 Primacy 225/55/R17 101V. Pics to follow
These are not as big as the LS430 5 spoke 18", so I'm hoping the ride quality should not be too affected.

Finally installed the Megan Racing EZ coilovers, Megan Racing RCAs and new factory bushings for the strut rods. Have the car set at "10" on all four corners.
